Butler University will launch a standalone engineering program in fall 2026, offering bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering and bioengineering, the university announced this week.

Housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the program will combine technical training with Butler’s liberal arts curriculum. The university said each degree will emphasize digital technology and be designed for completion in four years, with options for a second major in five years.
