The Astros have signed right-hander Enyel De Los Santos to a major league contract.

De Los Santos will join the Astros in New York ahead for their weekend series against the Yankees .

It will be a Bronx reunion for De Los Santos, who spent time with the Yankees in 2024. He arrived in New York via a trade from the San Diego Padres at the deadline and posted a 14.21 ERA with five strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings before he was designated for assignment.

De Los Santos signed with the Braves this past offseason and pitched to a 4.53 ERA through 43 2/3 innings with Atlanta. He was designated for assignment after the team acquired pitcher Tyler Kinley at the trade deadline.
