Lamar Advertising’s earnings grew by $16 million this past quarter, according to their second quarter balance sheet.

The Baton Rouge-based advertising company posted net income of $155 million, or $1.51 per share, in the second quarter and $139 million, or $1.35 per share, in the first quarter. It also outperformed last year’s Q2 earnings of $137.6 million, or $1.34 per share.

Net revenues rose to $579 million, up from $505 million last quarter. Second quarter revenue in 2024 stood at $565 million. Total operating expenses rose by $67 million from $314 million in Q1 to $381.6 million in Q2.

CEO Sean Reilly said he expects the latter half of the year to before better than the first half.
