Tigers announce trade acquisition called up to MLB roster ahead of Angels series

Before the MLB trade deadline, the Detroit Tigers made a plethora of moves, all involving pitchers. Chris Paddack, Charlie Morton, Rafael Montero, and Kyle Finnegan have all made their Tigers debuts. But one other reliever has yet to make his debut.

Ahead of their series against the Los Angeles Angels, the Tigers announced that, along with designating Luke Jackson for assignment, they are recalling right-handed pitcher Codi Heuer, whom they acquired from the Texas Rangers at the trade deadline.

RHP Codi Heuer has been recalled from Triple-A Toledo. He will wear uniform #57 and be available for tonight’s game.
