Cedar Key Big Dock repairs delayed for several months

CEDAR KEY, Fla. (WCJB) - Levy County leaders say delays are pushing back renovations at the Big Dock in Cedar Key .

Officials say a manufacturing delay with the ramp and stairs will move the project back until the end of October.

The state approved repairs to the dock following last year’s hurricane season in March, with a price tag of $500,000.

Meanwhile, Levy County leaders say the south boarding dock of the Bird Creek boat ramp in Yankeetown is closed because a boat recently hit it. The ramp is still open.
