The Park City Council primary election is Tuesday.

But there is a possibility the field for Election Day in November will not be finalized by the end of the night.

Eight candidates are competing for the four spots on the ballot in November, meaning half of them will be eliminated in the primary. The sheer size of the field, though, opens the possibility of a tightly packed group of candidates on Tuesday. If that is the case, it might not be known that night who captured each of the spots on the ballot. The results released on the day of the election are always preliminary, meaning there is sometimes a chance that the order of the candidates will change once all the votes are counted.
