TYLER, Texas — A Texas correctional officer accused of taking money to introduce meth into a prison unit was arrested in Smith County.

Diamon Dunn was arrested on Thursday for bribery and manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance.

According to an arrest affidavit, Dunn agreed to meet with an undercover officer at a gas station store on State Highway 31. At the location, she took $2,500 and about 71 grams of meth. Dunn was to take the money in exchange for bringing meth into the Boyd Unit, located in Freestone County.

Dunn is a Texas Department of Criminal Justice correctional officer. Dunn came to the meeting in partial TDCJ uniform, the document read.
