WACO, Texas — The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco is set to introduce Central Texas to its newest addition, baby giraffe Bodhi !

The zoo has announced that two-week-old Bodhi will be out on exhibit this weekend for the first time, and has invited Central Texans to stop by to meet him.

"As long as the skies and temperatures stay friendly, you can spot this tall, handsome guy soaking up the sunshine and greeting guests," the zoo said in an announcement on social media.

Bodhi, a Masai giraffe, was born on Friday, July 25, according to the zoo, to mother Eleanor. Bodhi and Eleanor have been on careful watch since, getting some privacy and time to bond, the zoo said.

Now, Bodhi is set to make his first impression to the public.
