A beautiful trophy for the beautiful game.
Florida Panthers assistant coach Tuomo Ruutu took the Stanley Cup to Olympic Stadium in Helskini this week for some fun in the sun -- and on the grass.
Ruutu, a veteran of 12 NHL seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks and New Jersey Devils from 2003-2016, has been on the Panthers bench since 2021.
The native of Vantaa had the trophy in the country's capital at the home of Finland's national football team.
Ruutu and his group kicked around a soccer ball and lined up for a few pictures with the trophy glistening in the sun.
The Cup is currently on a Scandanavian swing with members of the Panthers including Niko Mikkola and Jesper Boqvist .
