PERRY, Georgia — With inflation continuing to strain family budgets, parents are turning to consignment sales to stretch their back-to-school dollars, finding relief at the annual Tykes Tots and Teens sale at the Georgia National Fairgrounds .
The three-day event, which runs through Sunday afternoon, features more than 800 sellers offering everything from clothing and toys to school supplies and baby items at a fraction of retail prices.
"It is literally one of the best things I have found as a mom because my teenage children they love the name brand and really can't financially get all the things that they want," said Brianna Caldwell, a mother of four whose children range from toddler to teenager.
Laura Johns founded the consignment sale in 2011 when she became pregnant at age 21 an
