CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) -- A $2,000 reward is being offered to find the person responsible for severely burning Wylie, a stray dog found in Abbeville.
Wylie is recovering well at Rice City Animal Hospital, where she has become a local celebrity. Wylie was found severely burned in Abbeville, prompting a community effort to find the person responsible for her injuries. The reward for information leading to the identification of the culprit has increased to $2,000, encouraging anyone with knowledge to report it to the Abbeville Police Department.
"Wylie is doing absolutely fabulous here," said Dr. Erin Olson of Rice City Animal Hospital.
Dr. Olson noted that Wylie is no longer on pain medication or antibiotics and her wounds are healing well.
