AUSTIN, Texas — The Trump administration is doing away with a $7 billion grant program that was aimed at boosting solar energy and helping hundreds of thousands of low-income households nationwide.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sent out an official letter to the Texas Solar for All Coalition to confirm the end of the "Solar for All" grant program, which was part of Biden-era energy and climate policies.

The coalition sent KVUE the following statement about the cut:

"We are currently assessing the real impacts this will have on everyday Texans and the various organizations that came together to make this program happen. The Solar for All program set out to support families facing rising energy costs, and to ensure local job creation, boost investments in Made-in-America manuf
