“It’s night and day. Over at like the HEB area, even a few years ago, that used to be flat land and a bunch of cows roaming around,” said Erik Heiss, who grew up there. “It’s just multiplied the amount of people that have been here.”

“It’s absolutely ridiculous,” Logan Warrick agreed. “New homes, apartments, you name it—they’re building everything, everywhere around here.”

Chynice Smith is a frequent visitor, but said the shops and dining have enticed her; she and her cousin are looking at new apartments in the area.

“I love this area. It’s so much to do, so many places to eat. And there’s an HEB here now, which is my favorite store,” she laughed.
