STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — Georgia Southern University (GSU) welcomed nearly 6,000 freshmen onto campus Friday.
"The scary part of it is, I have expectations now,” said freshman Will Seymour. “It's not high school where you show up and pass."
Another freshman Lillian Zenchuk said, "it's stressful but it's a lot of fun.”
Lillie Dominick said, "It’s so exciting meeting everyone. There's a lot of emotions."
This year's freshman class is so large that they've filled up every dorm that the university has to offer in Statesboro.
Upperclassmen were out volunteering some muscle for the move. They said that Operation Move-In is a rite of passage.
