BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A freshman football player at LSU turned himself in to authorities on Friday after being accused of criminal charges.
According to an affidavit, running back JT Lindsey reported to the LSU Police Department after learning of an arrest warrant on charges of two counts of accessory after the fact of second-degree murder.
The affidavit states that on May 21, the Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to a deadly shooting in the 4000 block of Clark Street. During the investigation, Shemell Jacobs, 17, and Keldrick Jordan, 18, were named suspects in the shooting. Both were wanted by the U.S. Marshal's Service.
Jacobs was believed to be on LSU's campus on Aug. 4, prompting the U.S. Marshals Service and LSUPD to collaborate to find the suspect. Video
