Residents of a downtown Sudbury apartment complex have gone public with their frustrations over the ongoing lack of an elevator in their building, while also voicing several concerns about maintenance and security at the site.

The Sudbury Star spoke this week with several tenants at the Centreville Non-Profit Housing complex at 285 Lourdes St. in Sudbury, whose elevator has been shut down for replacement since late November, including seniors and people who live with disabilities. They said the extended shutdown has caused many problems for the people who live in the five-storey building, who must instead use the stairs, and they accused the property manager, Luxor Management, of not being forthcoming enough with updates or attentive to their concerns.
