The balance of power in Washington, D.C., just may depend on the lawmaker's decisions in Tallahassee. State House Speaker Daniel Perez announced Thursday that he's forming a redistricting committee — one that could recommend redrawing the State's 28 Congressional Districts.

Florida republicans already outnumber democrats in Congress 20 to eight, which is important because the GOP has a razor-thin majority on the Hill.

Democrats we talked with say their concern is that republican lawmakers will target District 10 in Orange County, which is a majority minority district.
