The Larimer County commissioners will vote Tuesday on whether to ask voters for a 0.15% sales tax for transportation infrastructure projects.
“Our residents have told us that safe travel, emergency access and congestion relief are top priorities, and this would give us the ability to deliver on those,” Larimer County Commissioner Kristin Stephens, chair of the board, said in a release. “It’s a practical approach to meet a real and growing need.”
At their weekly administrative matters meeting, at 9 a.m. Tuesday, the commissioners will discuss and then vote upon the proposal asking voters for the sales tax that would be levied on most products but not on groceries, gasoline, diapers and prescription drugs.
