MACON, Ga. — The inside travel lanes on I-475 North and South will reopen Sunday night after being closed for around a year, according to a media release from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
Gina Snider, with GDOT, said that the three lanes going both North and South that were previously closed will be open. She said that the lanes closest to the median will be the ones to reopen.
These lanes have been closed since last year, according to the release.
She also said that they will continue working on the bridge that they've been working on for the past year. Snider said that most of the construction going forward will be done nightly.
The release said that they will shift the temporary concrete barrier to the inside shoulders and restripe the travel lanes on Sunday.
