GROVE CITY, Ohio — Tim Sullivan started thinking in April about this year’s design for the cornfield at Circle S Farm, his family’s farm in Grove City . Around the same time, he started thinking about proposing to his girlfriend, Caroline.
“I really wanted to propose to Caroline and do something big she would never forget,” Tim said.
Tim got his family on board and started working with a crop consulting company to come up with a design to use to plant his corn crop and propose to Caroline.
Then, like any good farmer, he hoped the weather would cooperate.
“If we have a big rainstorm, it could wash the plants out, or if it is really dry, the seed might not come up perfectly, but we had perfect planting conditions and everything came up just right,” Tim said.
