ROCHESTER HILLS – Not everyone can be a winner in the OAA, but figuring out who won’t be this year, at least in the case of the league’s Red Division, is something of a head-scratcher.
Every year, coaches provide plenty of anecdotes about how tough the battle is, but at Friday’s football media day at Rochester High School, Birmingham Groves head coach Brendan Flaherty, whose team competes in the OAA White and reached the Division 2 semifinal last season, might have put it best at this year’s event.
