Dallas Wings star rookie guard Paige Bueckers missed Friday night’s home game against the New York Liberty due to a back injury.

Bueckers injured her back during the third quarter of Tuesday’s game against the Liberty in the first of a home-and-home set. She later returned but indicated after the contest that she felt her back tighten up.

Bueckers missed practice Thursday and was listed as questionable for the contest. But she was ruled out just more than an hour before Friday’s tipoff.

Dallas is 1-5 this season when Bueckers misses a game.

Bueckers, 23, had 21 points and eight rebounds in the 85-76 loss to the Liberty on Tuesday. She has recorded four consecutive 20-point outings and has 13 on the season.
