CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A beloved piece of Mary Carroll High School history has found a new home just in time for the start of the school year at Corpus Christi ISD.

The well-known mural, featuring the school’s iconic striped tiger, was safely transported to the new Carroll High School campus. It arrived in perfect condition, carrying with it decades of nostalgia for students, staff and alumni.

The mural now sits proudly in the center of the school’s courtyard, a shaded area where students can enjoy the artwork while staying out of the heat.

Carroll Principal Robert Arredondo, a Carroll graduate himself, expressed pride in the mural’s placement and meaning.
