The Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association, which independently tests the watershed weekly for bacteria, reported even fewer levels of the bacteria this week across the Midstate.

Based on Aug. 7 samples, the organization recommended avoiding water at these locations:

York and Cumberland Counties • North Sherman Street Bridge • Lock 2 Boat Launch

Lancaster County • Landis Mill Covered Bridge • F&M Marietta Avenue Floodplain Restoration

No locations in Dauphin County returned samples with high E.coli values.
