Community leaders gathered to unveil exciting new renovations at a park in North Philadelphia this week.

On Thursday, Aug. 7, residents received an update about the upgrades at Nicetown Park located on the 4300 block of Germantown Avenue.

The park has newly re-designed lighting, a new amphitheater, restrooms, park furniture and walking paths among other upgrades. These renovations cost $3.4 million.

This renovation announcement included details about the 23rd annual Giveback Community Outdoor Festival and Concert which started Aug. 8 and runs for two days.
