HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - Tractors and semi-trucks are filling up the Henderson County Fairgrounds as the Chrome and Lights Truck Show returns. "The truck show, everybody just signs their trucks up," explains Jay Curl with the Chrome and Lights Truck Show, "they come in and donate the proceeds. That's how we raise our money and it's just kind of a pride thing with the shiny trucks."
Curl is the vice president of Truckers Helping Hands, a local organization that raises money to help local families facing fierce battles. "We help St. Jude's and then we keep some for local around here to help people that's got cancer," explains Curl. "We just try to help everybody, if somebody has a house that's burned down or whatever, we try to help with what we can, do what we can."
