A swastika on a parked car and several other complaints of antisemitism have prompted a police investigation in Closter, a normally quiet, affluent borough in Bergen County.
The investigation began around the time a watchdog group posted a photo of the car earlier this week on X.
“We are deeply aware of the recent incidents and rhetoric that have caused concern and fear within our community,” the Closter Police Department said in a letter to residents on Tuesday.
