The Florida Department of Health has issued an update after 21 people became sick, linked to the consumption of raw milk. The FDOH said this week, the illnesses are linked to the consumption of milk from Keely Farms Dairy in New Smyrna Beach.

Keely Farms, in a Facebook post, said it was "blindsided" by the health department's news release, stating the agency had not informed the farm of any investigation or indicated wrongdoing.

Raw, unpasteurized milk can carry dangerous bacteria such as Campylobacter, E. coli, Listeria and Salmonella, FDOH said.

Dr. Rajiv Bahl, an emergency medicine physician, said of the symptoms these infections can cause,
