SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The was no shortage of Capital Region representation in Friday's running of the Grade 2, $300,000 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga Race Course - the lone stakes and featured race on the card.

Mechanicville-native trainer Chad Brown, coming off his win in the Whitney Stakes last Saturday, had two entries in the seven-horse field with "Whiskey Decision" and "Maggie Go". The favorite, "Deep Satin", which closed at 5-2 odds, was trained by Saratoga Springs' own Cherie DeVaux, while fellow Saratoga native, jockey Dylan Davis, was aboard the three-horse, "Ozara".

All four horses were chasing the five, "No Mo Candy", down the stretch. But it was Davis and "Ozara" prevailing with a late burst down the middle of the turf.
