DES MOINES, Iowa —

More rounds of heavy rain are expected in Iowa this weekend, making flash flooding a possibility once again.

A Flood Watch goes into effect Saturday afternoon across central and eastern Iowa and will last until Monday afternoon.

These parts of the state are already soggy from recent storms, and there's potential for several more inches of rain to fall in some spots this weekend.

All this stems from an approaching boundary coming into Iowa from the northwest.

This front will stall out and stretch southwest to northeast across the state through Sunday night. Repeated rounds of storms will form along and to the southeast of this front.
