Gynaecologist consultants, GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants and admin staff helped run the service
Women across Nottinghamshire could miss vital treatment after a gynaecology service was brought to an abrupt halt. The NHS provider responsible for running the Community Gynaecology Service across the city and county said it had handed back the contract on Sunday, August 3, because of concerns over its sustainability, leaving patients in the lurch.
The Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) said it was "working quickly" to set up an interim service but did not commit to helping relaunch it in its current form. The body said it had instead launched a review, raising questions over the future of the service and its staff.
