ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has filed several motions to dismiss lawsuits against the state over complaints filed by a confederacy group over Stone Mountain Park.
The Georgia division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans filed three lawsuits over changes at the park.

One lawsuit is over proposed changes to Memorial Hall, which is a public museum in the park. The group claims the changes, which are to displays at Memorial Hall, are not “’appropriate’ or ‘suitable’ for a Confederate memorial and, thus, violate the state’s ‘public duty’ to protect historic monuments,” the motion to dismiss states.
