KENNEWICK, Wash. – Deer Point Meadows Investments LLC has been fined by the state attorney general’s office following the implementation of new rent control laws.
The company, which owns several properties in the state, faced fines for properties in Kennewick, Yakima, Vancouver and Ridgefield.
Court documents revealed that Deer Point Meadows Investments raised rents beyond the allowed 5% increase in a one-year period at Tri-Cities RV Park in Kennewick and another RV park in Yakima.
As a result, they were fined $2,000 to recover fees and costs from the investigation.
