Hundreds of people wrapped around Super King Market in Altadena in the blazing heat Friday afternoon, Aug. 8, all for one reason: free groceries, courtesy of Tiffany Haddish.

The actress and comedian went live on her personal Instagram account on Thursday, announcing she would be coming to Altadena from noon to 4 p.m., to take care of families’ groceries.

Haddish made calls to her “rich friends,” encouraging them to donate to her cause via her nonprofit organization, Diaspora Groceries.

And some did, like Leonardo DiCaprio and Nia Long, according to Haddish.

Attendees waited for nearly four hours, with some even arriving in the middle of the night to secure their spot in line. By 11 a.m., 500 people were already lined up.
