ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

Court documents obtained by KOAT show a toddler was found wandering around in the middle of a busy Albuquerque street.

One of the parents is now facing felony child abuse charges.

Nearby concerned residents call police

The court documents say on Tuesday, August 5th, the 3-year-old girl was seen wandering at the 2700 block of Pennsylvania St NE and Phoenix Ave, which is just north of Menaul.

Law enforcement was alerted by various concerned callers.

Police say a car coincidently crashed in the same area just minutes after she was found.

An officer requested emergency services for the girl upon arrival, as temperatures were nearing 100 degrees outside.

The child was taken in by CYFD while police looked for her parents.
