TEXAS, USA — As the Texas rangers formally release the names of those lost in the July 4 floods in the Hill Country, we now know at least three East Texans were among those lost in the tragedy.
Their names are Carol Andrews, of Athens, and Cynthia and James Rushing, both of Sulphur Springs. They are three of the 119 names listed on a list of missing and deceased people in the Kerr County floods.
As the Texas Rangers formally release the names of those lost in the July 4 floods, we are reminded once more of the lives forever changed by this tragedy," a statement from Kerrville Mayor Joe herring and Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly read. "These names are not new to our community; they are our family, friends and neighbors, and they are forever engraved in our hearts."
