Joe Ryan’s reign of dominance over the Kansas City Royals continued on Friday.

The Twins starter entered the day 7-0 with a 1.30 ERA against the division foe in his career. Friday was more of the same. Ryan threw five innings of one-run ball, giving up just a home run to Mike Yastrzemski, the first batter of the game, in his start. He had plenty of run support behind him as the Twins beat Kansas City 9-4 on Friday night at Target Field.

The Twins scored three runs in the first inning and another two in the second as they jumped out to a big lead early in what would become their third straight win.
