SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Garrett Alexander worked out of a one-out, two-on jam in the ninth inning as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks won their sixth straight game on Friday night, beating West Division leader Sioux City 7-6 in American Association baseball.

The second-place RedHawks climbed within five games of the Explorers with the come-from-behind victory.

Dillon Thomas scored on a passed ball in the eighth inning to tie the game and Aiden Byrne's infield hit scored Brendon Dadson from third for the winning run in the ninth.

All told, Sioux City had five wild pitches and a passed ball in the game.

Colten Davis got the win for the RedHawks while Jeremy Goins took the loss for Sioux City.
