TROY, NY (NEWS10) -- The Tri-City ValleyCats could not extend their winning streak to 5 on Friday night, falling to the Trois-Rivieres Aigles 10-9 despite carrying an 8-3 lead into the 8th inning.
The Aigles were the first to strike, scoring in the top half of the first. After Mathieu Vallee advanced to third base with 0 outs, he scored on a groundout from Louis Phillipe Pelletier to put the visitors ahead 1-0.
The ValleyCats would respond quickly in the home half thanks to Oscar Campos who lifted a fly ball to deep left field for a 2-run home run that put Tri-City in front 2-1. The lead would not last long as Trois-Rivieres would respond with 2 runs of their own in the third, scoring on a single and an error to take a 3-2 lead.
Tri-City would once again respond to the deficit with an a
