EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Tonight, we took another step towards high school football season, now just TWO FRIDAYS AWAY! Tonight, teams around area participated in team scrimmages, one of the first chances for fans, and us, to get a look at the on the field product.

The Tecumseh Braves were quite eager to hit the gridiron, as they look to right the ship after two struggling seasons. But now, they’ve got plenty of reason for optimism. The biggest reason though, is their new head coach: Joey Paridaen. He comes over to the Braves after his run with the North Huskies. Just his presence on the field, at the school, and with the program, has injected energy into this Braves squad.
