Local vintage store Hard Times Collective is closing in mid-August.
The business, which opened in April 2023 in Butchertown 1008 E. Washington St., sells curated vintage clothing, handmade jewelry, humorous stickers and more.
Hard Times, which was started by co-founders Megan Widmer and Chaella Hidgon, announced its closure to customers via an Instagram post on Aug. 4.
"WE ARE CLOSING," read the first slide in big, white letters, followed by "& I AM HAPPY ABOUT IT."
Over its two years at the Butchertown storefront, Hard Times has carried products from over 30 different vendors.
"All of our vendors curate their own assortments and bring them in, and then we assort them in a beautiful boutique setting," Widmer previously told the Courier Journal .
