Rosie O'Donnell, a well-known actress and comedian, suggested on Wednesday that ABC might cancel its talk show "The View" to appease former President Donald Trump. O'Donnell's comments come amid reports that ABC is reviewing the show's content, which is often characterized by its liberal viewpoints.

According to reports, there is a growing concern among ABC executives, including Disney CEO Bob Iger, about the political tone of the show. O'Donnell expressed her thoughts in a TikTok video, stating, "You know what I just read today? ABC is ‘reviewing the liberal bias’ on The View. The VIEW. The show with five women speaking their own opinions – that’s the threat now. They say they’re not canceling it—they’re just ‘reviewing the bias.’ Which is code for – we’re gonna cancel it we’re just trying to soften you up first."

She further criticized the network's intentions, saying, "Apparently, the truth is dangerous now. They say they want ‘balance.’ But what they mean is silence. Silence anything that doesn’t praise the orange messiah and his golden escalator of lies."

O'Donnell argued that the scrutiny of the show is not about bias but about enforcing obedience to a political narrative. She referenced a famous poem about the Holocaust, stating, "First they came for the journalists, then the educators, then the librarians. Now, it’s Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg. It would be funny if it weren’t so terrifying."

She concluded her remarks by encouraging women to speak out more loudly, asserting, "We stand together and say what is true, even when it shakes the walls. Because the most dangerous sound in the world is a woman who knows what she’s talking about—and refuses to stop."

In response to O'Donnell's comments, a White House spokesperson dismissed her remarks, calling her an "irrelevant loser" and suggesting that she was complaining about a show that is losing viewership. The spokesperson added, "We can all thank Rosie O’Donnell for helping President Trump make America great again by self-deporting to Ireland."

The speculation about the future of "The View" follows a recent trend of network cancellations, including CBS's decision to cancel "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." This has led to discussions about whether networks are moving away from left-leaning content in light of political pressures. The cancellation of Colbert's show came after a settlement between CBS and Trump regarding a lawsuit he filed over an edited interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris.
