LACONIA — Those interested in joining the search for Laconia School District’s new superintendent will have an opportunity starting next week to apply for the committee.

The group will be comprised of about 15 people, including school board members LaToya Beck-Brown, Zachary Dea, and Laura Dunn, who put together the call for members.

This will be the second school year the district has an interim superintendent at the helm. Former Superintendent Steve Tucker abruptly resigned in August 2024. The district hired former Superintendent Bob Champlin as interim in October, who shortly after agreed to stay in the role through the 2025-26 school year. Then Champlin in April said he needed to step down due to health concerns.
