WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) - Race weekend at Watkins Glen International is officially underway, and it started with an exciting and historic moment in the ARCA Menards Series. The General Tire 100, a short 41-lap race, set the stage for a dramatic finish that saw 15-year-old Tristan McKee take the checkered flag in his ARCA Series debut.

Early on, it seemed like the No. 18 car, driven by Brent Crews, was in control. Crews led the entire race until less than ten laps remained, when a caution flag came out. During the caution laps, Crews’ Toyota experienced a power failure, causing the engine to shut down. Although he eventually got the car running again, it was too late to reclaim his lead.
