Frank Lampard insists he has complete “faith” in Haji Wright to hit his best form for Coventry City this season - but insists it’s down to the striker to make that happen.

The head coach was without the USA international for four months last season due to a serious ankle injury, but the club record signing still waded in with 12 goals over the course of the campaign to end as top scorer, adding to the impressive haul of 19 in his first season at the CBS Arena.

And with the prospect of a new season and a fully fit Wright, Lampard is hopeful of a big impact from the player who, he revealed, is likely to be played in a slightly different role this term.
