ORLANDO, Fla. — A man authorities described as a Colombian drug lord wanted in more than two dozen killings was arrested in Orlando, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced Thursday.

Guillermo Perez-Alzate, according to ICE, is a former paramilitary leader of the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia criminal organization, which uses drugs to finance their operations, in Nariño, Colombia. A post from ICE on X described him as an “illegal alien” and said “It’s time for him to face the consequences of his heinous crimes!”

The arrest was announced by ICE in a news release that said Perez-Alzate is wanted for his alleged involvement in 29 murders and other related crimes, but did not say exactly where and when the arrest occurred. Several other agencies, including the Florida D
