MISSOULA — Great Falls native Wyatt Warneke, in the early stages of his professional cowboy career, has seen a variety of rodeo venues.

The bareback rider has seen international-level events, such as the national high school rodeo finals, as well as pro rodeos across the Treasure State. The Missoula Stampede, Warneke said, sits in the top tier of events he's seen.

"There's some of them (rodeos) that don't have grandstands," Warneke added. "It's a nice place to be here."

Warneke notched a score of 73 Friday night, with the help of the bronc, "Good Times," as the Montana cowboy nears the end of his summer pro circuit. The lessons learned in his first year as a pro, Warneke said, are invaluable.
