The Branch County Conservation District is set to host a free educational event on wetland compliance and regulations from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 4, according to a community announcement.

The event, funded by a grant from the Natural Resources Conservation Service, will take place at the Ovid Township Hall, 381 S. Angola Road.

Attendees can expect breakfast and presentations from experts, including Becky Otto, NRCS-MI compliance coordinator; Linda Snyder, FSA-MI county executive director; and Michelle DeLong, EGLE-MI permitting staff.

The program will cover topics such as technical wetland determinations, USDA benefits, Clean Water Act regulations and federal cost-share programs.
