A Wallingford man faces manslaughter and DUI charges following an investigation into a fatal collision on Interstate 395 in Lisbon in 2024 that resulted in the death of his girlfriend who was reportedly seven months pregnant.
Personnel from Troop E in Montville located 35-year-old Rafy Torres of Wallingford in New London and took him into custody on an active arrest warrant stemming from a fatal motor vehicle crash in August 2024, according to the Connecticut State Police .
Torres was transported to Troop E, where he was processed on charges including illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension, reckless driving, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to maintain proper lane on limited access highway and second-degree manslaughter
