ROUGHRIDERS 5, TRAVELERS 4

Eric Loomis struck out Hunter Fitz-Gerald with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Frisco RoughRiders survived a late rally to hang on over the Arkansas Travelers on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock.

Frisco scored three runs in the top of the third inning and two more in the fifth to jump out to a 5-0 advantage. Aaron Zavala opened the scoring with a three-run home run off Arkansas starting pitcher Marcelo Perez.

An RBI triple by Cameron Cauley in the fifth followed by a sacrifice fly from Zavala gave the visitors their five-run edge.
